Posts: 3,906 Clermont, FL, USA | Hello all, I know the North Americans is over 12 weeks away which may seem like a lot of time but it will be here before you know it and it’s my job to keep it from sneaking up on you. The event promises to be talent rich and you can’t ask for a better place to sail in the fall than Pensacola, FL. It’s never too early to register, below is a link to the NOR and some hotel information. The registration form is on the bottom of the NOR. http://naf18.com/wordpress/?p=4Regards, David Ingram NAF18 Southern Area Rep

Posts: 271 Atlanta, Ga | "Both skipper and crew must be members in good standing with NAF18".. at Spring Fever our renewal went under dads name, which I thought covered both of us. I guess I need my own membership as well?

Posts: 3,293 Long Beach, California | USA 70 will be on the line.
We are organizing a container from SoCal - there is space available. Price is around $750 per team round trip right now, but may be as little as $600 if we fill up. You will need to bring your boat (and trax, tools, etc.) to, and pick-up your boat from, Performance Catamarans in Santa Ana. Open to all makes of boat (thanks, Jack!). Kirk has arranged for the container to sit across the street from the shop, next to the Pensacola Beach Yacht Club. For those interested, I can arrange temporary PBYC membership so that the cheapest and coldest beer on the beach is only steps away from the assembly/break-down area.
To pass along some scuttlebutt - there are several top-of-the-fleet, non-US types that have decided to come. This is going to be a good one.

Posts: 3,906 Clermont, FL, USA | Yes it will be a amazing week! A lot of great talent is promising to come. If everyone shows that says they are then it will make for a very tough top 10.
And thanks for keeping me focused Robi :-)

Posts: 93 | Andy and I are in the process of trying to get a triple stack trailer from the PNW filled. If that happens, USA 2477 will be heading down. I think we are most likely at two boats as of this AM and still looking for the third.

Posts: 3,293 Long Beach, California | The Entry deadline for the 2008 F18 Championship in Pensacola Beach, FL, is September 1st. Late entry goes up $100. All entries will get refunds of their fees (less $50 for non-refundable expenses) in the event the regatta is affected by tropical weather. This is looking like a really good event. Participation from international F18 teams will be at an all-time high, so you can be assured that the racing will be tough. Get your entry in so that the host and sponsors can plan accordingly.
