how hard is to to replace the sail track on the comp tip? is it screwed it? riveted?

we came back from a 2 hour sail tonight and couldn't get the main down once released from the latch. Looking at it i could see that the sail was off the track about 2' from the top of the mast... one of these oh s..t what do we do now moment :-) on a beach, you can tilt the boat to the side and deal with it but not when launching from a ramp.

we were not at the ramp but had the boat tied to the stern of my boat (I live aboard) so I was able to go up on the top deck, grab the mast with a long boat hook, tilt it and work the sail down....

it was too dark to look at how it's secured though, hence my question? how hard is it to replace, it has 2 gaps which causes the sail to jump out :-(
