Went out in a light F2-3 at Grafham (my home club) with my Video Camera; still trying to work out the best place to put it(this was 1/2 way along the pole), but first rough cut is now on

Loved your reaction when the wind dropped below trapeze conditions <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
Incredibly cool that we begin to get some F16 videos around! Perhaps you could do a 5 minute stroll through the boatpark with your camera before or after racing at the GC? Seeing some faces with the boats would be great.

What camera did you buy and how did you mount it?

Yes, was getting a little hacked off with the gusts/holes.

I bought an Oregon Scientific ATC3K Ex, will capture about 2 hours video. I think I'll mount it further forward under the Pole of it's next outing!

I'll ask wifee If I can take our "porper" video camera to Mumbles as the resolution and sound is far better.

I'll be trawling thru some more of the tape tonight and adding some more.

Sorry, I forgot to say that it indeed looks good!

Does the ATC3K have the time-lapse function? I have become a huge fan of that particular function when building stuff.

Not that I am aware of; it's a fairly simple bullet type camera you see Skiers, Bikers and the like use.

"Waterproof" to 5M; so I'll not be putting it on the top of the mast in any great winds. Appears simple to use and takes an SDHD card - 4GB!

Hi Simon,

We put the camera on the tip of the spipole. You can also try to hook it up in the diamond wires in top between the wires and the mast.

See you Wednesday or later on.

Stick it on your head.

I have a fair bit of footage from the 07 F18 Worlds with one. Will have to edit and youtube someday.

When in California recently we spotted a Oregon Scientific shop and right in the centre of the window was a ATC 3K.
Three of us ended up buying them. Only tried it out in the pool so far <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
