Posts: 1,121 Eastern NC, USA | The Good Time Regatta is the weekend of Sept 6th and 7th in Navarre Beach, FL. Is anyone conisdering this regatta? It usually consists of a distance race on Saturday and buoy races on Sunday. An excellent location and usually excellent weather. I believe we had 4 F16s there last year. http://www.juanaspagodas.com for more information.

Posts: 439 Memphis, TN | I have previously posted that I plan on buying a F16 boat; however, I would like to go to this event as crew on an F16 to learn the boat and meet some of the other F16's out there. This is a fun regatta, so being new to a spinnaker type boat should take the pressure off of me and the skipper. <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
I can of course share the costs of hotel room and registration fees and whatever else.
I can schedule to meet down there either Thursday or Friday. If Thursday, please let me know as soon as possible as to schedule time off from work.
Just PM or post here.
Mike
BTW, I'm from Memphis TN.

Ahhhh....the perils of growing older -- lapsing memory. Patrick we did buoy races last year ... as I recall the winds were pretty light on Sunday. Wasn't this the race that used the "mock" scuba guy as the barging buoy? I'm likely not to make it ... still grounded.

Posts: 2,921 Michigan | Terry, I meant the bouy races at Key Sailing on the sunday after the big mouth regatta. This will be the third year in a row I cant do Juanas and to think that it was my first regatta is sad! Hope things are going well with you and you are on target for a patch- beats the heck out of coumadin for the rest of your life! I imagine your boat would get pretty bloody if you were taking that and capsized a couple of times! BTW... if youa re still interested, I still have the boards for you! pp

Posts: 1,121 Eastern NC, USA | Hey Chris - how did the Big Mouth Regatta go this past weekend?
I will be down in Pcola Beach Labor day and bringing the boat. I hope to set up Sat AM and leave it up all weekend (through Mon AM). My Dad's place is about 1.5 mile west of the toll bridge into Pcola Beach (Santa Rosa Dunes). Look for the sail and come on over. Cold beer, AC and lnuch/dinner if you'd like.....
For Juana's, I'll be over Friday AM to sail Friday PM.

Posts: 1,121 Eastern NC, USA | I am hoping it blows through with no damage and leaves a beautiful weekend....... we probably will not be that lucky. We have a weather clause on our condo.
