We are seriously considering releasing our videos on DVD, but as you can imagine, it is expensive. It seems to me that the technology is headed strongly in the direction of DVD, and the selection of VHS at most stores is dwindling. All that being said, we'd like to measure what you, our customers, are thinking.
Does the fact that our video is only available on VHS affect your purchasing decision? Are you even remotely hesitant to purchase videos on VHS? We would do our best to keep the price for DVDs the same as it is for VHS: $29.95.

Posts: 12,310 South Carolina | seeing as my VHS player just died yesterday in my RV and the Rick White videos were the only thing that ever played on that player anyway, bring on the DVDs!

Posts: 54 Panama City Beach, FL | We sell a good number of the tapes, every other customer request a DVD!! This may be because they already know that there not available and everyone wants what they can have, but I think that it would be good to have DVD's Thanks, Brad Stephens 850-235-2281 www.sunjammers.com Authorized Hobie/Vanguard Dealer

Posts: 917 Issaquah, WA, USA | Our Sailing School, Sail Sand Point www.sailsandpoint.org, uses VHS for their training videos because they have this machine and most of the existing videos are in this format. But, we can see the benefit of DVD's to use with laptops. Both should be produced if there is enough demand. Caleb Tarleton, SSP | | | Re: Rick White's Videos -- DVD or VHS?

Posts: 833 St. Louis, MO, | I would think if you have to pick one or the other VHS would still be the standard. Most everyone has access to a VHS recorder but many folks still haven't bought DVD players yet. Certainly in organizations they are rare. I know our local club has a TV with VHS but hasn't yet bought a DVD player yet.
If you can produce both that would be great. Personally I would buy the DVD just because they are great compared to VHS.

Posts: 1,226 Atlanta | Tim Get with the times, post it on the internet and let us download it for free onto our laptops so we can sit on the beach with our wireless lan and watch it while we break between races and banter back and forth on catsailor about hull sucking or drag coefficients or rating systems....
(Sorry, I got a little carried away, I still giddy from installing my new wireless lan in my house. yippeee)
Seriously, post it on the web, charge us less and put it in a format that Windows Media Player can read, but stay away from Real Player - bad player, bad..... again sorry, still giddy.

Posts: 54 Panama City Beach, FL | It would also be nice to have it as a loop on the VHS tapes. This way you don't have to rewind just keep on watching! Thanks, Brad Stephens 850-235-2281 www.sunjammers.com Authorized Hobie/Vanguard Dealer
