This is one of the best promo videos I have seen for sailboat racing. It is amazing what they go through solo around. They will not beat Joyon around for time, but with 30 sailors participating they did a great job building and promoting this event.

The VOR and Portimo both start soon as well. The VOR on the 11th. Three around going on at or around the same time. Sodebo and Collville should start their attempt between November and December going after the record Joyon just set. This is a busy year in the circumnavigating sailing world.

I just saw a segment on the news about the in-port race in Alicante, Team Russia tried to squeeze in between the committee boat and Delta Lloyd theirby holing both boats.
They've now also allowed the Code-0 which is interesting since they will sail most of their miles low wind conditions.
