Posts: 13 | I also have an 18HT and would be interested in whatever you find out. Even if you resort to buying a set please post your results and where/who you found to make them.

His latest versions are incredibly light and yet still very stiff. You'll probably need longer tiller arms than are standard on the Stealth, but seeing as it's just carbon tube, John should be able to supply them to suit your boat.

Posts: 1,382 Essex, UK | We should point out Eric that the dims and pic are of the 'old' foils. The new ones have much smaller T foils, the bottom of the rudder is tapered down to the T and the foil is effectively below the leading edge of the rudder rather than than the trailing edge.

Posts: 9,582 North-West Europe | Well the F16's are a mild development class and these T-foils are continuously being refined by John Pierce and his company Stealth Marine ( www.stealthmarine.co.uk). You may also be able to get T-foil rudders of another builder related to the F16's. Darryl Barret and his son have a boat building company, did the F14 boat and I believe work together with Marcus Towell ( www.formulacatamarans.com) on the Aussie Blade F16's. You could try either one. Wouter

And you keep us posted !
I'm sure more of us are looking at T-foils for our own boats. I'm convinced they are an excellent addition to my Taipan F16 with fine bows.

Posts: 954 Mumbles Y.C Wales U.K | I have the photo's on my computer but unfortunately don't have the knowledge on how to attach them since the Forum up grade...Something about URL addresses and webservers. Seems as if there'll be far fewer pictures posted here in the future. P.S If you live in the USA you are 18% more likely to have a road accident today due to the Presidential Elections, and I guess that 'Thanks Giving' will be for the releif that it's all finally over ( unless there's a repeat of 2000). Good luck and may the best man win MP*MULTIHULLS | | |
