Is the Delray Drag race happening this year? Or are the coasties camping on the beach to keep you from running it again? just wondering. Bob Grubb, are you still alive?

Micheal hope you and Theadora are fine. We are having the race this year and hopefully the weather will cooperate. We will have more than one option as to the direction should the weather turn sour. Chip is working also on a starting sequence according to what model cat : P16's leave first off the beach then H16's and so on in ascending order of slower to faster portsmith rated boats. He is in control and will be decided around race time if this system is going to work . Anyway it will be at the Northend this year and there are still two ways of launching, from the north and south there has not been a problem with trailers on the beach for the event but its still meter parking so bring a role of quarters to whoever else may be curious. You ,Theadora and Russ Weaver(open17) did a hell job in it last year,Russ gave a whole new meaning to stay with the boat , thought we'd have pry him loose when he came in.Congrates to Les Bauman Marc Hereendeen (open 20) and the team of Steyn and Tinsley (open16) that doubled the short course anyway and also Rip Parent and Mike Kennedy(open19) . Many thanks to the winners for coming to Delray and taking all the trophys away from the locals who slaved to make them like elves, NOT." See ya on the Beach" March 8th 10.00am.........
