Well, it's about that time of year again. Before I ask the wife, (and risk a boot in the nutz) how many are planing on doing it, for sure? Terry? Pete? Seth? Matt + Gina?

I'll take the risk if there will be a fleet. I won't bother for racing Open class though, I like my Nutz too much... sick

BTW, it is Jan 17-18, 2009 of course.

Were planning on attending. I believe there will also be at least 2 other F16's
from GYC heading to Tradewinds maybe even more.
Yes I know what your saying about Open class Tim, I would much rather attend
any of the events for 2009 knowing we will be having a F16 fleet.

Rick, you are good!

And do you still have your Taipan 4.9? You could charter it for Tradwinds as F16 and/or the Gulfport event as well if not sold by then.

I'll look into booking "Hotel F16" again this year.

Who's in for sharing this:

Fleet Hotel??

[img=http://images.vrbo.com/vrbo/images/7ca21.jpg[/img]

Only $11k per week. But sleeps the whole regatta (14-15 couples). That's $733 per week per couple .... or less than $100 a night.

Only 2 miles to the sailing venue.

Terry, we're in as is Brian and the Chuck. Tim and Andi would like to as well. Is that alright with you? Maybe we can leave the kids at home this time. This is my plan.

I will not be sailing it. I think I can find all the parts and sails,
Rick

Hi Pete,
Yes, I will be uni. Hopefully I will do better than last year. One race that I did not finish, 3 capsizes (one prior to the start) and a lost dive boot. I did have fun though.

"a lost dive boot"
That must have been one hell of a pitch pole!

What was Area D like?

How about an 8,000 SF home with 10BR, 6 baths, 3 living rooms, 2 kitchens......We could sleep 20 and still have room for air mattresses on the floor.

[edit: actually 2 homes on the same compound]

I'm checking to see if they'll cut it loose for less than a week (apparently new laws in the City state that you have to rent for a week minium).

I'm targeting arriving on Thursday Jan 15 departing on Monday Jan 19 --- total 4 nights/5 days.

The Keys Oceanfront Mansion is the Florida Keys largest, most
prestigious vacation rental available! This spectacular home features over
8000 sq. ft. of oceanfront living with 10 bedrooms, 6 1/2 baths, 2 gourmet
kitchens, 3 living rooms, billiard room, heated pool, deep water access and
protected boat slip. Located directly on the ocean...you'll enjoy
completely unrestricted views from virtually every room in this fabulous
home!
