See the end of their boards?

Any insight as to what the cause might be on those weird hooks at the end?

Easy: it's the handle to peel the banana.

It's a tiplet, it looked hookish to me too at first, but I think its an illusion. The tip is at 90ish deg. to the board and tapered, but if you flipped it upside down and decurved the board it would look just like a modern airplane wingtip...

Definitely a tiplet, the gallery over at BYM shows it more clearly.

Hrmm, I still can't see its deflection. I'm a multiple eye surgery patient though, so I don't got the best peepers.

At this point, are they still talking about doing this on Multis? I've lost track of the whole thing now.

Try this one. Click on the pic to get the zoomed in version. White tip with black background of the hull makes it easier to see.

You can see the angle of the port tiplet best in the silhouetted pic where Dogzilla is viewed from behind the starboard hull. This tip is designed to act like a small vertical daggerboard when that banana board is down.
