Hey peeps,

Since this is a sailing forum, I thought some of you might like to know about a sailing product for a Christmas preasent of just for fun. There's a company that sells radio controlled model catamarans. They're called "Fast Cats." I have one so I know they work well. They're really fast (hence the name) and a lot of fun. I've read that they're the only sail-power-only catamarans on the market.

You can check them out at

I bought one for my kids a few years back. They were fun, but I had to wade through the seaweed a few times to retrieve it when it got stuck. My only real complaint was that the rudder linkage to the hulls was a bit weak and I kept breaking it.

It looks real familiar to the one shown here, but the one we had was called a WildCat from Victor modelling. I don't see it on their website currently.

Victor does not build the wildcat anymore. The Fast Cat is the next generation step from the wildcat. The great thing is the Fast Cat will waste any other product RC model on the market. Awesome rc sailboat.
