Less than 2 weeks till the Nationals.
Does any one know how many have entered yet?
How many sloops compared to cat rigged?
And how many from N.S.W?

I haven't done much sailing this year so i think i will be an on water spectator, it will be good if i can stay close enough to see whats happening.

I have no idea but the fleet of "on water spectators" is growing.

I have not done much sailing either this season between work and injuries, but we will be there and sailing.

It appears that Ben will probably be the only NSW boat there, but that could change.

Hope we have a good turn out of boats and see you there

Hey All,
I was planning to come but due to work commitments unfortunatly I wont be there.
This year has been very busy and I have only been out twice (due to work & family) but am planning to have a big 09 having saved up my bonus points this year.
Hope All have a Great nationals.
Please can someone post results daily?
Cheers & safe traveling Ben

I will email the info to Tim Sheppard about options.
One club is interested we just have to conferm a few things.
It would be really good to have the Nats in NSW next Year and even work on encorageing the 2 mozzies in QLD to make the trip down.

Rob,

At the moment there are the 2 Mk2's from Lake Bonney (Peter and I)still hoping Beau will be there as soon as he sorts out his leave. The rest have work committments (harvest) and Mark has new house which has taken priority.

I have had two apologies sent to me so hoping the numbers are up and it is a good regatta.

Just a note for those travelling from the east....Lake Boga etc...from the Thomas' at Lake Bonney.

They have found the quickest way to the peninsula (Wallaroo) is to go to Gawler (clover leaf exit) then to Mallala then across a newer sealed road to Dublin. This then puts you onto the main dual road to Port Wakefield.
Nice Road not much traffic and easier drive than via Balaklava
It may help Tim and Garry ( Lake Boga)and even some of the Melbourne ones who wish to skirt Adelaide (but I don't have Tims e mail). They could go Murray Bridge to Mt Pleasant then Gawler

Anyway, just an idea.

See you all there,

David

Hi All,
I asked Tim the same question a week or so ago,
his estimate was Vic 14 very likely, 5 maybes,
my estimate SA 13 very likely, 5 maybes,
should have a more accurate estimate Jan 10th, about tea time!
Cheers,
Roy,1770 Aquarius

Hey all,

Greetings from up here in Qld.

Plan to make 2010 nationals and will try to make sure others come as well.

We may have 3 in SEQ by that stage.

Good luck to all.

Hey Tim - saw the 'you tube' footage and good to see mozzies on there.

There is a regatta on at mannering park over the aust day long w/e if you are keen I understand it is a LONG TRIP but if You are interested let me know.
It would be AWSOME to get some mozzies from Qld at the nats next year.
Its the best place to learn about the mozzie and all the Guys are more than keen to help out with tuneing & tips on how to sail the boat faster.
Cheers Ben

I'll be at the nationals for a play too.

Shirt Size - Large if we're getting them. I'll have to sign up on the day, just glad I could get the time off.

See those attending there. smile

Ben,

Thanks for invite to Mannering but cannot make it as away with kids on beach holiday.

Boat is OK, taking advantage of the xmas holidays to strip it down and tend to some maintenance items.

Will keep my eye out for regattas later in year and make the effort to come and sail. If you plan to sail somewhere let me know and I will see if I can get there.

Cheers, Drew

Hi Everyone,

Hope you all have a great time, I wont be able to make it this year as it has been decided that my new 7 week old crew wont make the journey very well.

I have been promised the states so see you then.

Have a great one, looking forward to the results.
