Posts: 1,200 Vancouver, BC | Just orders a pair of these from Sperry: They have drainage designed into the boot & sole. Look very grippy and may even been a bit stiffer than my Gul trap booties. They've got an internal big toe strap for added control...but it's removable...and since I wear drysuit with goretex feet I more than likely won't be using that.

Is the sole hard enough for distance racing? I have always needed more support than most booties provide and switched to the Sperry sneaker type shoe.(thanx Craig)

Posts: 334 Seattle,Wa | Don, how did the toes hold up? Have had trouble getting one season out of most booties. The tops wear out on the mesh H-17 tramps. Have had good luck with the Sperry Sailing Shoes with the hard toes. Caleb Caleb, 2008 was one of my busiest sailing seasons. And I wore those shoes in every regatta. I had NO problems with them holding up, and expect them to last another few seasons for sure. The toes on this boot is protected by the sole which wraps up over the front. I just inspected mine and they show absolutely no wear on the toes. My trampoline is mesh also. Hobie Tiger 2003 | | | Re: New Bootie from Sperry
