The Twelfth Annual Spring Fever Regatta*
*Lake Hartwell, Georgia*
*April 10-12. 2009*
The water's slowly coming back up and the Corps of Engineers actually
approached me about holding the regatta at the Milltown campground again
this year. Apparently, they were pleased at the way we readied and took
care of the grounds last year.
We're all signed up and am starting to look for sponsors, not an easy
task with this economy the way it is but The Honey Baked Ham folks will
still be keeping you well fed. At least gasoline should be
significantly less this year and we're still offering the half-price,
over 500 mile deal in an effort to entice some of you that missed the
great regatta last year to come on back.
The website is up and we are ready to accept preregistrations. No need
to send any money now, we'll take care of that at registration as we
always have done.
Preregister at:
http://www.TwinHulls.comThis will be our twelfth year of being the largest all-class catamaran
regatta in the U.S. -- That is if we again keep our competitor count up
around 70 or more. It sure would be nice to get that number back up
over 100 again. And of course, we are once again hosting The Southern
Area Formula 18 Championships.
We've engaged the same great band that we had last year along with our
now famous Hartwell Cowbeller. (I'll try to have enough rum to keep him
in time with the group.)
In doubt about coming? Just ask anyone that was here last year what
kind of regatta Nigel puts on here on Lake Hartwell.
See you Easter Weekend but please, preregister now so that we can get
the shirts and food ordered.
