The days are still fun and if you don't believe me ask Kathy!

It's old news about the exodus of women from cat sailing. It's part of why so many men are now going to single-handers.

You and Kathy are an exception. So kick me out of the "club," whatever that is.

But why in the world would we want the sport we (men) clearly love to be an exclusive sausage fest? Almost all the men I know don't even like sausage. Good grief if it were not for the bun life wouldn't be worth living.

I want the names of these dirt bags that have driven the beauty from our sport! Names Mary!

see, I figured going ahead and marrying a non-sailor was about the same as marrying a "sailor" who turns out to be a non-sailor the minute the ring shows up.

Isn't that how it works Timbo?

My hat is off for those exceptional women who enjoy the sport and the sausages they sail with.

Of special note are those distinguished sailors who are the only reason the sausages holding the tiller actually finish the race (my apologies to those whom I have not met and did not list):

Ding's crew
Mike H. crew
Matt's crew
Kent Coop's crew
JC's old crew (Tina - not Kenny!)
JC's T-500 crew
my old crew (not Slaughter...well, maybe - he does have boobs)

Dude, your old crew almost drove me out of sailing. That girl scared the sh!t out of me! But the tat was cool.

I really like your baby momma, she's nice and a lot less scary... for me anyway.

Stank, you know why a bride is smiling while she's walking down the aisle, right?

Because she know's she's already given her last... spinnaker snuff! grin

You know why the groom is smiling?

Because he doesn't know it...yet. sick

My compliments and congratulations to all of you hard working females who have -stuck it out- in what is mostly a Guy dominated sport, I wish there were more of you!

If you can't find the girls (or keep them), you're sailing the wrong boat.

All you need to do is go to the parties to see the obvious answer.

Hobie 16s have more women sailing than any other cat, period.

They also have more women than most other boats (monos).

The life (aka ratio) at a H16 NAs party (or any Hobie points regatta) is RIDICULOUSLY different than H17s, H20s, spin cats, or any keelboats.

Other than women-only classes, the only comparison might be Optis or 420s. And, Laser Radials are predominantly chick boats.
