Nacra F17XL

Jan de Boer Catamarans (The European Nacra Distributor) has announced today that the Nacra Inter 17 will be transformed into the new NACRA F17XL.
The 2003 Model will have an optional Jib, and a optional double set of trapeze lines as well a optional righting system.
Unfortunately there were no pictures available yet.

Has anyone of you a picture of this new boat ?

I saw a picture of the rig you are describing,..it was at an Austrailian Nacra sight..

The rudder system struck me as peculiar,...for the rudders, castings and crossbars were from a Nacra 5.8 ......not the I-17 system..

The newsletter I received said nothing about changed rudder systems.
It said the I17 was unchanged, except for the changes I mentioned earlier.
Are you sure it was a NACRA F17XL ?
Ps what kind of logo was on this boat ? something similar as the F18 ?

It all started with the australian inter 17 which had a little bit different hullshape too if I remember it correctly. this boat never made it out of australia. It was designed by nacra Australia.

Then we had the introduction of the standard inter 17 with a alu mast ans 13,68 sq. mtr. of mainsail , no spi. exclusive signlehander.

Than in the USA we saw the birth of the US inter 17 R, carbon mast, much more sailarea and a spi.

After that I saw the setups of inter 17 R as well as that of the inter 17 XL pop up in the Texel rating listings. The inter 17 XL looks to be the same as a standard inter 17 but with a larger mainsail. It is still listed as a singlehander.

Now we have the inter F17 xl. ; which I assume from the name has the same mainsail area as the singlehander 17XL which is 15,25 by 8,05 in addition to a jib and a extra trapeze.

Personally I expect it too be the same platform as the standard inter 17 but with a jib, extra trapeze and a spi.

I haven't heard before of a Formula 17 before this post.
