The movie Wind was released on DVD yesterday. I don't know if anyone is interested in it. I think it is a great movie about sailing, so I pre-ordered my copy.

Amazon.com has it in stock.

Yes, WIND is a fairly good flick. Admittedly, the plot is somewhat predictable, but it has some great action footage. The music is by Basil Poledouris, who also did the music for the Conan movies. Some of the all time best soundtracks imho. The movie would have been better if it had been on cats, and our heroes could have run a campaign for the Little America's cup. If you're a guy, you'll find Rebecca Miller quite easy on the eyes.

I just received mine today from Amazon... I had it pre-ordered about 6 months ago!

Nice in the widscreen format and the sound is pretty nice also in digital surround... especially the racing scenes!

Now see, my big disapointment with the DVD was that is was not in Digial 5.1 or DTS. It is still very good.

I also agree the movie could have been twice as good with more development of the induvidual sailors, the teams, showing some of the challenger's series because that is where the real action is.

Thanks for letting all of us know it is out on DVD. I just ordered mine, I am afraid if I watch my VHS one more time it will snap, now fast forwarding to all of the sailing will go faster too.
