13 F16S PREREGISTERED! TOO COOL! There are still two locals (who avoid the internet like the plague) so it looks like we will have a separate start.

3 F18s, no I20s registered.

Pete do you have nothing better to do than stir ****?

We do not want a separate start. Untill the start line is too wide for the bay, keep them together.

YOU NEED TO READ THE NOR!! I'm not stirring anything! I'm trying to prevent it.

" Classes A-Cats will have a separate start time. Any other class with fifteen (15) or more boats may be given a separate start, and any class with 5 or more boats will be scored separately. Others start together, sailing under Portsmouth handicap."

From speaking with the OA I can tell you a separate start will be planned unless the competitors request differently.

You're not on the OA, neither am I. If you want your thoughts considered, contact them.

Who's on the OA? I will gladly talk to them.

What is the point of working to organize a big regatta just to have it broke up into a crap load of little fleets?

Bob Feckner is your best bet. I'll PM his email to you.

I agree with you (and said so last week).

I just received an email from the Race Captain. His intention is start all the spin boats together.

And only 3 A-cats, but surely a lot more of these will be attending !

18 (level performance) formula spi boats in a single start, that is a fun fleet to race in !

I think there are at least 10 A cats based there so I expect to see most of them, plus the others in the area. Should be a very good turnout. The I-20's and F18's may have other regattas such as Spring Fever (the weekend prior) that are in the way. There are a few F18's based there who will most likely show up but not too many I-20's based there.

I am assuming you just stay on 31st Ave and drop down to Shore Blvd and that is the public beach?

Coming from the panhandle, is 19 quicker or interstate all the way down to Tampa?

Come all the way down on the interstate I75 then get off 275 towards Tampa or St Petersburg. Get off 22nd AVE south and head westbound. Continue west, turn south on 55street south continue on this road until the end. It will take you straight to the beach parking lot.
