My youngest son has just come back from a Hobie 16 training session and said that they capsized whilst mucking about doing a trick...
His crew lays across the tramp with her head to leeward and hooks her feet around the windward shroud. He gets on the wire and flies the hull to see how loud she can scream [hanging upside down]! They overdid it and got wet.

i am trying to remember a trick that I saw a picture of.. it has something to do with the crew hanging on to the pylons under the tramp with one foot and one hand, and flying like superman.
can anyone describe this any better or come up with any other ways to damage yourself or the boat?

Handstands
Extra points for helm doing it at the same time as crew
Double points for having the kite up too
Quad points single handed with kite up

Need two boats for this one....

Both boats sail fairly close hauled.
Windward one comes down a little so the crew of leeward can grab the trapese on the leeward side of the boat to windward; now hooks on to the trapeze from windward AND leeward boats. windward boat climbs away from leeward boat and crew gets hoisted upwards.

Take great care as the windward boat gets lots of heeling moment from carrying the crew to leeward.
