This issue seems to come round regularly and I am hoping that there is someone out there who can help out.
The NSW web site has been taken down....for a few reasons...but with the Nationals going to there for the first time in years, and a growing interest in a class there again, the lack of a NSW (and QLD) web site is not good for the class image. I have been told that we lost another boat purchase into NSW because the guy thought the association there had folded....he got himself a Hobie...and has since been beaten by a Mossie but still not good for us.
So please, if someone has contacts or works in the IT industry and can help the NSW guys get a new web site up and running fast, please let me know and I will put you in touch with the right people there.
Also, for the QLD guys, maybe it is the right move now for you to work with, and be part of a joint state body with NSW until you both can stand alone.
Any queries, please drop me a line, my email address is on the National Site.
David, Nat Sec.

Posts: 93 Bribie Island, QLD | I have a lot of experience in web development, in the early days of uni, i actually use to build websites for small business and private users to help pay for uni expenses. Im highly competent in html, java, php, asp and macromedia flash. So i would be more than willing to lend a hand in getting a site up and running, completely free of charge of course. Its the least i can do considering all the help and support ive received from the everyone on here so far, and im all for anything thats going to keep the class alive and growing into the future.

Posts: 136 Thorneside | QLD | AUS | Maybe we do the joint thing for Qld & NSW.
David is correct about needing a web page especially with Nationals and the NSW states coming.
I will contact Ben and get the ball rolling.
Michael - we may need to discuss who does what in some form of qasi official sense for a 'Qld' association so we can provide contact numbers on said web page.
Next time we sail can have a talk about what, where & how.

Posts: 43 Gwandalan [ Lake Macquarie ] | G,day QLD and NSW Mozzies I think a combined web site is a great idea. I dont have very good computer skills [they drive me up the wall] but am willing to help in any way i can. Contact me on 0419625708 if there is anything i can help with. P.s. I think a register of every one sailing in NSW and QLD would be a good start and maybe we could get together through the season for a mini traveler ect. What better way to grow the class then to see us in force.

Have emailed Ben to get in touch.
Michael and I will have a discussion about what we can do and how to get a web site up quickly and cheaply.
Karl - like your idea of a register - perhaps we just have a page on the web site for NSW / QLD owners with pics and contacts(if desired) much like Vic does.
There is another thread going regarding some rule changes, in that First Try has suggested the overall mossie register has some extra columns added for measurement - it would not be too hard to extend the spreadsheet to include state and location etc.
I am strong in Excel use and could set up an excel file that covers all those needs and can be searched and/or filtered as well. Will pass this suggestion on to National exec and see if we do one complete listing rather than seperate states.
Also like the idea of trying to achieve some traveller races, we may want to look at the various regattas on over 1 year and work out a program that is realistic, could involve a few miles to drive for some.
Any comments / thoughts?
Cheers,
