Posts: 713 WA, ID, MT | I've been lurking around the F16 forum for a couple of years, eyeing these boats, posting occaisionally. I came close to buying one a year ago when I came across a screamin' deal on a Bimare Javelin, which has kept me pleasantly occupied learning a new boat. A buddy on Flathead Lake in NW Montana got excited sailing with me on Flight Risk, bought a H14, and then saw a Nacra F18 sitting in boat yard and thought he needed one of those. So I've been shopping for an F18 for him, preferably out west here. So I see Gary's ad for the Stealth, and I furiously call and email Les, to tell him this is the deal he's been waiting for. To no avail. Can't get a hold of him. But it's another great deal on a fabulous boat, so I decide to buy it for him, and as soon as that idea enters my head, so does the one that say I want this boat! So Les finally gets the messages, says he wants the boat, and I say we can negotiate. Yet to be completed. But one way or another, I gonna spend a bunch of time on this one, to see if it suits me the way I think it will. I'm a big fan of light weight for speed and easy handling/righting, and I sail solo a lot, and I really like taking people sailing. So the one up/two up option pleases me. And I've spent a fair amount of time aboard the HT wondering how foiled rudders might improve her handling, so getting them on the Stealth will be great. She's supposed to arrive this coming week. And will need cleaning, learning to put it together, some tramp work, so you'll be hearing from me soon. Pleased to be a member of this particular club!
