I was looking at the underside of my rear crossbar and there are 2 holes. They are about 4" apart on the underside center line. Are they drain holes? Should I plug them? Anyone ever notice these before on your boats? Just curious because I don't want the frame to fill-up if I turtle. thanks, andrew

Darn you, now I got to go look at my boat!

But I don't think the holes are supposed to be there.

I finally remembered to look. There are no holes in my bar.

I did find a small dent in my gelcoat from the neighbor's pellet gun. He shoots squirrels off his birdfeeder all winter. I had a talk with him and I hope he improves his gun safety skills!

Thanks Jeff, I guess it's time to plug them.

If your neighbor does that again, maybe you should consider shooting back??

Why waste good holes?

Can you use them to install a beer can holder?

Thanks Jeff, but I already have 4 beer can holders located at each corner of my tramp... for easy access in any sailing situation. If I put a fifth one on, people might think I'm an irresponsible sailor!

p.s. for shooting back, i suggest the daisy eagle, one pump approx 90fps stings, doesnt leave a mark

Beer can holders are never irresponsible. Let me tell you NOT having them is irresponsible, Ahhh...., I remenise...

Onboard was a nearly full cooler of beer. Spotting a neighbor sailor, I shouted, "Want a beer?"
He came over and we attempted very complex course adjustment to pass the beer can. I'm not quite sure what happened, but the next thing I know is the beer cooler is tumbling into the water! Oops!

Well, my friend and I spent 20 minutes, free-diving to the lake bottom 13 feet below. We recovered all but one can. We held an impromptu service, expressing our sorrow for this lost spirit, buried at sea. Still today, I pass the tragic site with sadness, knowing this poor spirit was lost in the prime of it's life.
