Hi,

Have been doing some work towards our 'association' up this way.

Tim - saw the extra page you have put on the Vic page, thanks.

Saved us having to think up a name for the joint association for nsw & qld.

I have talked with my brother and we can have a web site on a server he has running and at this stage that comes gratis with plenty of space.

Basically within a week or so will have it up and we just need to fine tune the content etc. May need some assistance from Michael on that.

Web site will be similar to others but basic at this stage. Plan to have a page for nationals with information and details as they become locked in.

Tim - is it possible to get the Mosquito Association banner, in pdf or whichever format is required, that both Vic and SA use for the title across the web page?

Further there probably needs to be a discussion between Ben, Karl, Michael & myself regarding actually creating an association as such.

David - Nat Secretary - what is necessary? is there still a NSW association? do we just rename that? does it have a bank account? books? treasurer? secretary? records?

Can I have some comment and input from those already in office positions in Vic / SA as to what we need to do.

I have previously been involved with various associations and have some idea but may not have it all covered.

My aim is to have us organised and exist so any potential mosquito sailors in NSW & Qld have a contact point, information source and group to be part of as we attempt to increase the numbers.

Cheers,

Drew........Furr_ball........Mosquito 1635

Hi Drew

You need to talk to Ben about the NSW association.

What is it you want from the websites?

Hi there,

Yep, have talked to Ben and helping with what we can can from up north.

The web site seemed a good place to start with sorting out an association following closely.

Tim -
I hoped you may be able to help with the title graphic from your Victorian web page. Can we use / borrow that image/banner for our web site?
Thought it would be good for all the sites to have a similar appearance.

If you can allow us to use graphic please send a file, not sure which format is required, through that we can build into the web page.

Karl -
Will talk further with Ben about where to and what and let you know.

All help and assistance is appreciated as we simply do not have significant numbers to draw on.

Cheers,

Drew,

You may want to talk to Ben regarding the original NSW assoc and what did Will have as to the paperwork, including registration of name etc etc....
As for legalities, Yachting Aust I believe require you to be incorporated but I am sure that Yachting NSW or Yachting Qld ( dependant on who you aline yourselves with) will give you the guidance in regard to new assoc stuff.......or the re-awakening of the old assoc as they existed in both states not that long ago.

Drew, you can get my mobile number from Ben or Karl and give me a call if you have any queries, but it may take me a few days to get back as I will be back at sea.

Good effort guys.

David

Hi there,

Web site is up and running.

Link - www.ecmca.diabologic.info

Still being filled in and fine tuned but up and running.

Plan is to use this as a portal for Nationals information and of course the membership on the east coast.

Cheers,

Hi Ben,

I even found a photo of you with your kite too to put in the gallery.

Hey - can you make it to Toukley? Are you going to sail cat or plus kite?

I saw that. It's my spare main sail top guns number is actually 1704.
Not sure if I will sail with spi.
Spi I have is really to big so I have trouble pointing on triangle course.
It may depend on breeze ect.
Also still need to refine setup.

Hi Drew,

great job. Keep up the good work, the boats will follow, it just takes time and effort. Well done to you all up there.

Do I count as a Eastcoast sailor when I sail at Eden wink.

Thanks to all for positive comments.

Gary - will see what we can come up with for an honorary status?

Probably depends on whether you want to temporarily be a cane toad, **** or stay a mexican?
