The Worrell 1000 is cancelled. According to the press release due to a lack of funding to buy the 18HT's. The 2004 race will be sailed on F-18's from Performance Catamarans. Teams will get their $5000 back and will have a credit towards next years race. Why would Performance agree to supply boats after the race screwed Bimare? This could be the end of this race and it may be time to start looking into developing another event to give us sailors our ocean race. Any Ideas?

I just read the press release myself. I was on the ground crew for AnteauArt last year and I recall some disscussion on a "Tybee 500" has anyone heard anymore about this?
