Can it really do 40 knots? That seems a little excessive to me.

I have done 70kts with one.

The speedo on the Van was reading that as we towed it down the M25 anyway...

But on the water with a GPS I have seen 34kts. The boat was really on the edge of control at that pace though.

Maybe no, but that would be really cool...

No Bull.

My GPS unit, when in the car will read what ever I want it to. Kts, MPH, MPS, KMH. No problem at all. Must find a track to see what the Vmax on my car is. It is geared to about 200mph, but it would never get there!

Only 70 kts Macca?, need a bigger van....(but avoid the police! )

i'd think 30's would be about right too

jimmy spithill is quoted as saying they are in the 40's with bmwo's 90 foot tri and that probably won't get to 50

I wouldn't put it past Macca to convert it. Probably forgotten how to read kmh / mph now.

Judging from what I see the eXtreme trimarans doing, I couldn't see a 40 getting to 40. But that's that one of the skippers in the iShares Cup said.
