Did you see the previous post, from Paul, that there is a crew already on the bay area waiting to be asked on a boat? There is also a crew in SoCal that would make the trip for the race.

My current problem is obligations on Friday and Monday. These can not be changed so my ability to get there on time is comprimised. I'm working on it and if I can I will gladly use another crew.

One of the Caps may be missing if I cannot convince JW to come. His crew Dennis cannot do it and he has noone right now to do it with. He also made family plans as soon as he realized he may not make it.

Ian was coming up with an Infusion but has a broken spinnaker pole from the race last weekend.

We'll be launching from Richmond Sat morning and heading to Tiburon for breakfast at the SFYC. Then we'll chase/ tow our first F18 back to Richmond for the start.

I'm in a kid-coverage jam at this point. I'd love to sail with Andy, but even with an adequate supply of duct tape to hold the kid down, I'd still be facing charges at the end of the regatta. Believe me - coughing up an entry fee and a weekend with you guys isn't the easiest pill to swallow.

How old's the kid? Can he hang on when I gun the skiff? How angry will mama be if he comes back muttering a few 4-letter words?

She's five - not ready, in her mom's estimation, for the Show.

Couldn't she just wander around the hospital with mom?

Dunno, Jay - I think she's ready. She drives the Wave while I nap - no rude awakenings to date. She's in skipper school at the YC starting in a couple of weeks for the summer.

We now have an F18 trailer that will be able to act as shore support in the event of a catastrophic failure. Hobie Tiger Frank will be following along.
