Hi Jack,
It will be a lot of fun. Last year I did not race and still had a great time. Plan on spending the night on Saturday night, Steve and Cindy throw a great fish fry after the race. I am racing this year so I am really looking forward to it.

It is an open class handicap race, so run what you brung...Matt McDonald was first accross the line on his F16 and also won corrected. The first 10 boats accross the line were from 10 different classes. So far 6 boats from 6 classes registered.

Hang around and sail on Sunday. Anyone interested in a Lady Skipper race on Sunday?

My "crew" can steer the boat but she may object to being called a "lady". She's been tossed from family restaurants for cussing..

We usually hang out Sunday morning and do a little more sailing. I don't think you can get my wife to skipper. If she does, she might do well in light wind but she would refuse to go fast enough to get her hair wet.

Oh....I know Beth would be down for that. As soon as she reads this (Hi Baby ) she'll have it on our calander.

As crew it is your responsibility to block the water that would get her hair wet. How many time has your crew taken a wave in the face for you?

Did you get a trailer, or are you putting the new boat in the back of your truck?

Hi Jeff, Good point you raise but with the SC 20, I don't think I could gain enough weight to shield her from that much water. Plus I don't think she will be making it to Gilligan's this year. We are doing a family trip to Ohio in a couple weeks that will coincide a car race I have to be at.

Since I have access to the gulf from where the boat is stored (mast up), I plan to sail it around to Daytona.

I think you are better off taking the ICW accross. A lot less distance but a little tricker to navigate.

Call me lazy, but I don't want to drop the rig to get under any bridges.

You shouldn't but you might have to wait for bridges and the Locks...

Geez, babe...we already figured out how to get under low lying obstacles....flip the boat and drift it under on its side...no need to take the rig down!
