The April IHCA newsletter was just recently put on the site. The following upgrades for H14 and H16 were approved: controlable mast rotation, 2:1 outhaul, improved rudder system and adjustable downhaul system. The following upgrade for H16 was approved: new jib halyard/rig tension system. The following upgrade for H16 was not approved: spinnaker, except for certain special events.

Class legal systems for the approved upgrades will now be developed (by the manufacturers). These systems will need to be approved by IHCA (and ISAF,I think) and then sailors will be able to upgrade their boats. This process may take a couple of years.
