I thought it might be worth asking if anyone has experience with these instructors, and how well they teach. Unless I hear something really negative, I'll just go ahead and send in the check, but I'd like to do a quick due diligence...

I don't personally know Detlof, but I know Fritz and his wife well. They have been members of our fleet for almost two years since coming over from Germany. Fritz is also our current Vice Commodore.

Fritz heads up our annual Raven Rookie Race; which is a free seminar for novices who are interested in learning better tuning/rigging skills and on the water techniques. Having sailed in Europe all his life he has a lot to offer. Plus, he’s a nice guy!

We are taking the seminar on our Tiger – not sure which boat you are thinking about. We are looking forward to being critiqued by Fritz and Detlof .
