Posts: 531 Lake Murray SC | At the last second it turns out I do not have to do dispatch (work) for the 4th of July weekend. The plan is to get the 18HT/G-Cat hybrid in the water and play with the hooter/reacher for the first time. Should be a good day for it. Also run a H16 jib w/ lightweight battens instead of the G-Cat genoa...

Posts: 263 SC | Not this year, hate to miss it. Where is David Lennard and a firework when you need him?
Of course I'd need Robyn for my human shield.
Happy 4th Everybody! Stay safe.

Posts: 531 Lake Murray SC | Had a nice day! Went out with my Dad and daughter and tried out the big sail. Light air that would ramp up to about 8-10 then back down again. Once we threw the "spinnaker" we just beam reached and sheeted it in! Wow! We kept sailing out of the wind patterns ahead of them. Kept the jib up and was able to have both headsails pulling. We really buried the bow once but it just came back up and we kept on trucking. I'm sold.
