Hey, just wanted to write a quick note to see if any of the F18 sailors was attending Sail Newport this year? I'm spending the month in Boston and was wondering if anyone was thinking of attending and looking for crew? I've sailed F16s and the setup is quite a bit like an F18, so i know my way around the boat. If anyone is looking for a crew, please feel free to contact me at ckuang@yahoo.com

We're also looking at moving to MA. Not sure If i'll bring my F16 yet, but am certainly looking into catamaran racing in the NE USA.

There are at least 11 F18 boats racing at Newport! I'll spread the word that you are looking for a ride.

Not sure of anyone looking for crew right now, but come down and never know what will happen. Some of the big boats will definately have a spot for an experiened racer.
We will be down there on Friday afternoon with a few other boats setting up. Come down and check it out. There is a big regatta party on saturday after racing at the race site (sail newport in Ft Adams) for the whole regatta, then we will be hosting an after party in downtown npt with an F18 series sponsored free keg and some food.
Check out www.NENSA.org for the full racing schedule for the summer. Not many F16's racing in the area, but most events do have an open class. There are a few events that are F18 specific.

Hey guys, thanks so much for the info. I'll try and make it down to Newport somehow or the other this weekend. Tried looking at the sail newport website but couldn't find where the F18s are rigging exactly but i'll definitely try and find you guys.
