Posts: 3,969 | there might be an issue with race 5. that it over-ran the time limit! They have been pretty strict with the 15min after the 1st place finisher rule, so this may stick. If a finishing window is in the SIs, that becomes a rule and they can't make it optional, and is certainly something you wouldn't change midway through the event (otherwise, Holy Redress, Batman!!!). EDIT: I may have misunderstood your point. If the first boat didn't finish in the time limit, the race must be abandoned (RRS 35). Naturally, the course could be shortened (code flag S) to avoid this (RRS 32.1(c), assuming the SIs don't prevent shortening the course. Another option is to decrease the length of a leg (code flag C, RRS 33). Mike

The leeward mark rounding is something we all should practice with that many boats. Wouldn't that be great? Later, Dan | | | Re: F18 Worlds Started Yesterday

Posts: 539 | That last race was Macca's bullet by the way - between that and the pics of him on the alternate photog site, he's going to be hard to take for a while. :-) Oh crap. Never gonna shut him up now. Fortunately I am out of the country the next time he is in my neck of the woods. | | | Re: F18 Worlds Started Yesterday

I'd assume charter boats with local sail numbers.
