I bought a complete suite from Jill and Robbie and I'm very pleased. No complaints at all.

I've heard, again, heard, that the Goodall spins have been getting cut flatter and flatter. I don't know what that is going to do when you lay them out though. Again, that's hearsay, nothing factual.....

Posts: 4,119 Northfield Mn | Just buy an F16 and be done with it! Two miraculous things have to take place before that happens. Gotta sell the old boat, and have to have enough income to not do something silly will the proceeds of selling the old boat like paying the mortgage. Construction is a tad slow right now. I think its picking up, but it just could be a little bubble too. I plan on getting a Viper, I just can't fill in the when part. Yes, I'd be out of the one design rule, but the Ullman spin is almost $1200 through Hobie and I'm flippin' poor right now. I'll still have to pick up a new OD sail eventually but for what I can get the Goodall sail for it'd be good for weekend warrior use. | | | Re: F16 spinnakers?

It's all about $$$$$$$. Why do you think Gates brings out a new version of Windows every few years and not just fixes the old one. Billions or new customers that why!!!!! Doug | | | Re: F16 spinnakers?

Posts: 4,119 Northfield Mn | Nice finish at Shell Lake CRAW regatta for having a shot spinnaker! Thank you! I'm quite proud of it, far cry from last year where I was damn near at the bottom of the list. I think the training camp with Robbie is definetly the main reason. You can tell in the results when the wind was getting light, I didn't do so well and couldn't carry any decent angles downwind. The last race I was actually holding speed, and running about the same angles as the I20's. Wish I knew what made it work! isvflorin- I've thought about it, but I'm not sure I'd save any money, (if I were to count time in the shop not making money), and the last thing I want to do after spending the day in the shop, is spend the evening in the shop. If were to change careers I'd probably do it though. | | | Re: F16 spinnakers?

Posts: 196 Arkansas, USA | If construction is slow, you could always do what a couple guys did in the 80's near me at the time- one guy fronted all the money for the supplies and the "woodworker" of the pair supplied the labor and built four hulls (18 sq meters). They both got nice boats out of the deal--
