I'm new at the hobie thing and recently picked up an old beat up 18. (price was right and I work ina composites shop)
My question is when rigging the traveler is it a seperate line or do you use the remaining main sheet?
Pardon my ignorance
Dave

The loose end of the main sheet goes through the cam, through the traveler, and is tied to the padeye on the aft beam i believe.

Hello,
I was in the same boat as you two years ago. I had know idea as to what went where. Just keep asking questions and you'll get lots of help. Where are you located? Maybe you can check out another boat from someone on the list?
The Hobie 18 manual will be lots of help and is available online at: http://www.hobiecat.com/support/tech/sailboat.html
Good luck,
