Posts: 1,884 Detroit, MI | I don't see how 20 feet of 3/16 line can be enough as it's stated below... I've got 30' and I think I'm about 2 feet short.... the line has to gofirst to the becket then down to the block riveted to the mast, then back up to the block attached to the wire line and then back down once you've attached the jib to roll up on the cleat on the mast... somebody help a fella out...
Jib Halyard Line (old wire halyard) 3/16' Halyard 20' You only use the purchase for the last couple of feet of the halyard hoist. Tie the halyard to the becket, then loop it through the becket block. When you raise the jib, pull the block down until you can reach it, pull the loop out from the block, hook it under the block on the mast, tighten and cleat off. | | | Re: H16 running rigging list?

Jib Halyard Line (old wire halyard) 3/16' Halyard 20' Maybe you're thinking of the Aussie halyard system. It uses a lot of line as the blocks are at the head of the jib and the tang on the mast.. US Sail Level 2 Instructor US Sail Level 3 Coach | | | Re: H16 running rigging list?

Posts: 749 Santa Cruz, CA | Could we get that list updated? Mike I have a few in my head (which is a bad place to store stuff). AUS jib Halyard= 71' Split Jib traveler adjustment= 11'X 1/4" X2 Most people use from 28-30' of 1/4" jib sheet. 6:1 downhaul 21'4-5mm. That's all I know. J | | | Re: H16 running rigging list?

Also, what length are people using for the 6:1 downhaul (and what is supplied)? Mine is stock (2006) and seems like it's 4 feet too long. At Rochester this weekend, there seemed to be all sorts of different setups. What works best?
Mike Why are you asking that question here? You know who manages the HCA-NA website. | | | Re: H16 running rigging list?

The split trav adj is 3/16" not 1/4". Same with the downhaul. I typed it wrong. J | | |
