From Genealex on SA
"Octo Finance crewed by Pierre-Yves Moreau and Benoît Lequin have just started their attempt to set a good reference time for the Passage from New York to Lorient in France in an open 20ft catamaran. They were on the front page some time ago, Pierre-Yves was crew on Banque Populaire a few weeks ago when the set the new record for New York to Lizard point. They already hold the record for the Dakar to Point a Pitre crossing so if things go well the time they set will be a good standard.

Their site is in french but they have tracking ."

Custom built 20 foot creation. Tons of freeboard and some rather odd looking wings. If looks fugly to me - but I admire what they are doing and feel rather envious.

Chris.

NOAA bouy map of where they are at the moment - looks like nice gentle conditions at the moment. I guess they waited until the aftermath of Bill dies down.
