Does anyone by chance have an extra spray top that they could bring along for my sister to use? I told her to bring a rain jacket, but they just don't work the same. Thanks in advance.

I wish I could help but can't. I don't think it will be an issue based on current wind forecast, especially on the 16. I do have a shorty wetsuit I can bring if you think that might work, my waist is 34".

I have a spray top I can bring, as long as my wife doesnt want to wear it you sister is welcome to it. Forecast is looking good though, upper 70's for temp and mild winds.

Jordan lake water temp data can be found here, updated daily.
Water temp was 77* yesterday smile

I'm going to try and get out early, seems like the wind is better in the AM sometimes. The guy with the FX1 may come out and I told his wife I would look out for him. I may ride my boat solo this weekend, spouse seems less than interested and regular crew is tied up Sat. Look for me around 9-10am, white TheMightyHobie18 and silver nissan truck.

Thanks Ryan, if you could bring it along I'd appreciate it. My sis may not need it, but she doesn't sail often and she is cold-natured. You know how it is once your wet and not in the right gear. I'm sure she'll be fine though, I've got to look out for my sis ya know.

I'm going to try to get there pretty early as well, I'm going to shoot for around 10, as it's still about a 2 hour drive from Fayetteville.

Wind looks real good for Sat. and a little light on Sun. What time do races start on Sun?

I'd like to compare the High Point FX1 with mine but won't be able to since it's in repairs. May come out just to look.

Vista winds.

He hasn't committed to coming out with the FX1 yet. The guy is a doctor but has this weekend off. He and his wife have been trying to get together with some other cats so we will see if he shows.
What repairs are you making to your FX1?

Joleen and I were looking forward to joining the gang there, but we have a schedule conflict. I probably won't make Lake Townsend next weekend either, but would still like to invite you all to Kerr Lake after that (water level permitting).

I hope you all have a great weekend,
Eric

The FX1 can't come. He is on call all weekend and Jordan is too far from the hospital. Weather keeps looking better! The FX1 is owned by Dr Heiss Von Stavren, and I'm sure I slaughtered the spelling of his name.

That's too bad. I was really hoping to see one of those things close up.

How was the sailing on Saturday, and the racing on Sunday? How many CATS showed up?

The sailing was fun this weekend. Saturday had some decent winds. It was hit and miss lake wind, but we were able to fly hulls for a bit. Sunday was good racing. We headed out in no wind and racing was postponed for a bit. But around 12 the wind filled in really nicely. It was also rather consistent for a good two hours. Only two cats showed up for racing, both hobies. There was an Isotope on the water Saturday. I had a nice weekend sailing there.

Great meeting you guys this weekend, had a blast on Saturday sailing with everyone. Similar story on Saturday with the winds, I was on the water around 10am and it was really light, but seemed to build most of the day. Was out on the lake Sunday as well, but just has a spectator on a friends ski boat. Saturday seemed to re-aggrivate a wrist injury from a few weeks ago and I just didn't want to make it worse Sunday. Looks like you guys had a great race though!

Great weekend! Wife enjoyed sailing on Sat and I got some solo hull standing time and Sun was perfect. There is nothing better than rolling mono hulls!
Derek is SUPER CREW! He kept me on point, I never got nervous coming thru the mono fleet because he was on it. Thanks for the invite Eric and Joleen, maybe some of you guys will make it next time.

It was definitely a good time. It's great starting 5-10 min. behind everyone and rolling them on the first downwind leg. Thanks to CSC for letting us join in on the fun and Mike for letting me crew. Trey's already working on a tapered mainsheet and new downhaul system for you. grin
