Hello,

Have returned from central oz and got the boat out racing yesterday at Cleveland.

15-20 knots, still rigged the kite and headed out, forecast was for it to keep increasing up to 25 plus.

Soon realised my sailing was crap and very rusty so played safe and kept the kite in the chute.

Water was lumpy, breeze was all of 25 knots and I had no confidence of keeping control downwind if I hoisted kite, was getting thumped by waves while out on trap to windward, couldn't tack and felt slow.

Finished the race, did not capsize and came home in one piece which was good result but was soundly beaten by 5.8's and hobie 16's. It was their day.

Race control abandoned 2nd race due to wind strength and a few boats getting into some trouble, safety came first.

It was just good to get out sailing, I have range of jobs to do on boat, might get those out of way so boat is ready and tip top for the championships. Just have to get some sailing practice in as well.

Good to be back on the water.
