Hey Matt

Mylar Sailmakers tape! will stick really well and you can just add layers until the thickness is perfect! Easy to remove as well!

load them full of lead!!! that will stop them floating
the tape has always worked for me, but i use 90 mile an hour tape ( plumbers duct tape)
its cheaper than sailmakers mylar tape.
if the carpet too thick, we used some 1 inch webbing strap and glued that around the top and the bottomof the centre case .you should be able to find plenty of different thicknesses.

Matt,

Try glueing carpet in the longitudinal grooves below the deck line. This will be better than what you currently have and may work properly. cool Glueing carpet above the grooves would definitely have been a problem. frown

Peter
