Best spinnaker halyard line material?

I use a simple line tied into a loop to lower my blocks. no splice is really needed (unless you want to get fancy).

Also, if you attach your main to your traveler line, you could increase the length of your traveler line to give you another foot or 2 on your main (of course it doesn't actually increase your main, but you can get more line in the blocks and hold on to the traveler line in the rare times you are sheeted all the way out. Its certainly alot cheaper than getting 45' of new mainsheet

I use a soft shackle for that purpose. It has the added advantage it is quicker to untie than the block shackle smile

I'm going to miss this dramatic event I'm afraid. After consulting with management she calmly explained that Saturday was fully booked and that she told me so three weeks ago and what's up with men and their inabilities to remember something other than boat, motorbike and F1 schedule. And I need to call my mother too.

Its pretty sweet the I 20 your gonna be sailing, it was great fun when it was totaly retro when me and Grant sailed it back from Calshot. I can now fully see why the reason for tramp bags, they were very comfy to lay on in light aies :P
