are the rudders on a cat supposed to be perfectly straight or should they be slightly unaligned?
Just wondering how this could affect drag as the boat begins to heel to leeward
Thanks

Most of the recommendations are for somewhere between 3/8" and 3/16" of toe-in. This compensates for slack in the rudder system, as well as letting the windward rudder run at a little less angle to the water than the leeward one. Something about a surface-piercing foil vs. a non-surface-piercing one.

sail fast
