I have been working on this old Nacra 5.2 to try to get it in running condition. It is a 1982 boat with the old mast base and the post in the middle of the boat. It was a saltwater cat so there is alot of corrosion but overall it is in a good shape... so far.
I have a question that puzzles me:
How to you setup the jib on this thing anyways.
I have two steel wires that run from the front crossbar to the rear crossbar. They are installed on fixed fairlead on the front crossbar and they are not attached at the back but I have bolted fairleads in the rear crossbeam.
I tried to attach one of them to the rear fairlead with very small shackle but the wires is loose.
I was thinking about running the eye of the wire look into the fairlead but it is almost impossible to bolt it back after that BUT it seems that the wire have exactly the right lencht for that
Right now, I am thinking about a few things but I am not really sure that it is going to work.
If anybody could give me some information about this setup, it would really help
