I recently picked up a nice used Nacra 5.7. I am trying to locate some people who still sail one or have in the past. Seems info about this boat is few and far between. I can be reached at dsrofe@wds-i.com or through this forum. Thanks.

I am in the Tampa Bay area of Florida. There are two things I am trying to find info about - diamond wire tention and have you done anything on the job downhaul? It would seem that there is info about every boat that Nacra has ever made except for the 5.7.

I think we used to sail H17s together. Come on over to GYC it's a nice, laid back group.

Hey Doug...just got mine a little while ago, and there's no one to compare for differences to make it worth really tuning, so my diamonds are tight enough to keep the mast from looking funny, and all I've done with the jib downhaul is curse at it for sucking so bad, might get around to replacing it before spring..it's the Harken magic box setup...not sure how much this helps, but we can compare notes as we get them figured out..

We may have. I miss the H17. Mine developed a crack in the centerboard well and we never could get it repaired right. Finally sold it off for parts. One of the best cats I have ever owned. I will look into Gulfport.
