Rick

I consider myself pretty in tune with the intertubes, and I've never heard of this site. Anyone claiming to soon be "bigger" than google is simply scamming you. Countless others have tried and failed miserably including behemoths yahoo, and Microsoft.

No sweat making minimum. Gold as corrector weight is legal.

No one scammed me. I didn't bite. I must get 20 a week saying they will get my search position first or second. Even if they did, I could not afford it.

What the heck good is it to come to my site anyway. This Forum has over 5000 User, and most don't buy from our store, nor even know we print a magazine.

Sorry, having a bad day with the flu.
Rick

Hey Rick

Something is going around - our practice weekend was plagued by sickness when 5 out of 10 of the sailors at the session got a nasty nasty stomach bug.

We were all hurling.

I take a LOT of NyQuell when I have. It will help you sleep and get it out of system.

I hope and trust you'll feel better soon, Rick. However, this is classic bad medicine.

The flu virus runs 7-10 days. Anti-biotics will not help since it's NOT a bacteria. If you didn't take the antibiotics it would be getting better by now anyway. Good n' Plenty candy would have had the same effect. All the antibiotic did was irritate your gut by sterilizing it.

Don't get the idea that anti-biotics helped. Next you'll be hounding your doc for ABs for every scratchy throat or allergy-caused sinus issues.

Actually, they did not help. Someone told me about Umcka at health foods stores. If nothing else, it has eased the full head and cough a bit.
And I did start off with Nyquil, which did nothing much.
Really sick of being sick -- usually the picture of health all the time.
Thanks for the advice, all,
Rick

Catsailor.com is my most important source for information concerning cat-sailing and for me simply invaluable. When there is a subject I need advice for, catsailor.com is my one stop for a post. Without your site, Rick, an important subsidiary to our hobby would be missing!
As far as the 5000 users are concerned: I guess the majority are from the US but I wonder how much are from abroad. This is the beauty of this forum: there is always somebody in the world who has the same issue as myself. However, despite the tempting $/€ exchange-rate, it makes simply no sense to buy expendables overseas - except stuff which is not available over here which is pretty seldom the case.
I subscribed to the magazine some years ago, but the subscription ran out and nobody reminded me. To be honest, I was not particularly sad about this, since in the end I did not obtain more (for me interesting) information than on this forum. May be I should give it a try again to have a look how it has developed over the years.

My 5 cents from overseas ...

Kai

Understandable. Shipping, despite getting Periodical Rate from the USPS are still pretty high -- Europe is $35 per year.
Problem with not getting the magazine is you are missing a lot of good columns, i.e., Capt Noah Tall (tongue-in-cheek spoof of Dear Abby), What if (sixteen years of tactical situations), events (listing of all events in the USA and world sent to my),
Mr. Good Winch (repair column), Chat Box (great discussions -- granted they are taken from this Forum), Monthly Crossword and Word Puzzles, Special Interest Stories, etc.

Really??? Wasn't anything with higher density then lead prohibited by ISAF after Eric Tabarly used a uranium keel in one of his boats? It was the big black ketch for the second Whitbread RTW.

Guys, where do you live? Seems quite unhealthy! I'll not drink tap water there anymore.
