Posts: 251 beaufort, sc | if i remember correctly without looking at my boat: tie one end of the sheet (rope) to the becket (top) of the block (pulley) on the left side of the trampoline,, run the other end of the sheet around the left block on the jib back to the left block on the tramp, across to the right trampoline block, up to the right jib block and back to the becket on the right tramp block. use bowline knots. hope this helps!

We need to see your drawing. I don't know how to explain it any better than dannyb9 did. You know it is just one long, continuous line that serves both sides, right? | | | Re: HOW DO I RIG A JIB 14FTHOBIE

The 14 jib is very similar to the 17 as shown in a previous post. However, the jib blocks do not mount to the front beam like on the 17. You should have 2 large grommets on the trampoline about a foot back from the front beam and a foot in from the side rails. There should also be a wire running under the tramp (under the 2 grommets) that is attached to the side rails at the chain plates. That wire is the Jib block support wire and you attach your blocks to the wire through the trampoline. If you have the proper blocks, there should be a becket at the top of them. You tie one end of the jib sheet to a the becket, then run it up to a jib clew block (small ones that are at the attachment of the jib) and then back through the jib block so that it comes out through the cam cleat. Then, you run the line through the other block in the direction of the cleat first, then out the back. The line then runs to the other jib clew block and then back to the becket on the top of the jib block. This way, you get one 'continuous' jib sheet. The picture of the 17 set up is close, except that the line on a 17 is attached to an eyelet on the beam and to a becket on the top of the blocks on a 14.
Hope this helps.
