Boat is a Nacra 5.5

With the boards all the way down, I've noticed a tendancy for them to cant backwards. It seems that the trunks they are in a slightly too large for them, and there is some for/aft play. Side to side they are fine.

Any ill effects I have? I noticed it yesterday while out on the trap looking down at the windward hull.

I never had a problem with the loose-fitting boards on my 5.5u, but if it bothers you, it's easy to carpet the inside of the bottom of the daggerboard trunks, either with designated self-adhesive carpet or with almost any relatively thin carpet epoxied in. The most important area is the aft half or third of the lower opening, and maybe the front radius of the upper opening.

good luck

I appriciate it. Just making sure I didn't have an unusual amount of play or even the wrong boards. I'll try the carpet thing!

I also have carpet in the trunks of my 5.5 uni.
Be careful when inserting boards in, rear edge can catch on carpet, tearing it out. Key is to make sure top edge of carpet is glued tight, and slide boards down with front (round) edge touching the inside of well, not the back (fine) edge of boards. Once the board sticks out bottom of hull, it's not an issue.
It's easy to glue carpet on front edge, the slot is wider. At the back, it's tricky, since slot is so narrow.
