Guys

Just a quick post from Australia about the Queens Birthday Regatta at Wangi. There were 5 F16s (all Taipans) and about 8 F16s (half Nacra and Hobie). Must say that against each other the racing was really competitive. The F16 had the slight edge upwind, the F18s downwind. Daniel Van Kerchof in the F16 won all the races, but for the rest of the middle fleeters (ie me) it was really quite good racing in a big spinnaker fleet. Quite a lot of trading positions upwind and down. The first race was in 20 knots gusting big. The next 2 days were 5 to 8 knots.

Cheers
JC

I appreciate getting feedback like this. Good news actually. We're now more and more convinced that the F16's are equal on the course to F18 to an acceptable degree. Enough for fun races and most day races. In the beginning this was the goal that was most uncertain wether we could achive it. But up till now no reports to the countrary have been received. And we had reports from the EU, USA and Aus.

Thanks

Wouter
