My friend just bought a trac/windrush 14 which has front stays that are way too long and has no adjusters on them. They definitely need to be shortend and there are no real marine stores around our area that would do it(northeast TN). Do you guys know where to get a cable swager and any recommendations on the type to get or the procedure of doing it, any feedback would be greatly appreciated. -Oleg

i would contact the seller before you modify... there is a chance there is a shackle or something missing, or you are connecting it incorrectly if the seller sailed with that rigging

I have a Trac 14 w/ factory forestays. The length is right at 208 inches (counting the loop at the top and the clip at the bottom). In other words, from mast hound to hull would be 208".
