I expect the seabreaz to fill in at 2-3pm, 12 knots, south west. That's what the Tampa weather man just said 5 minutes ago. Of course that's today, a week from now it could be different, but at least there are no cold fronts on the long range horizon.
Packing. Had the pickup detailed, and the oil changed. Got the FXone loaded up to drop off in Jacksonville, can't find the f'n tiller extension!! Frick! I'm really loathing the thought of driving down there. It is so, so far away....
Karl. We are doing final packing today and leaving early tomorrow (Sunday) morning. What is your drive time? Ours is 16 hrs but that may pale in comparison to yours. Is Dan flying down, like a rock star? Ed
Still hazey after all these beers. F-16 Falcon #212
Yep, she took lots of pictures on the first day of the Regatta. I noticed that JW already posted a particularly cool set of shots showing the Squid Pig eat it around the leeward mark.
She's currently weeding through about 800+ photos and will be posting the good ones soon. Hopefully after dinner tonight.
It was a pleasure to meet you Pete and thanks for being willing to be the US F16 President.
A special thanks to Wendy Daunheimer for taking the pictures and for Jill Nickerson being willing to take her out on a coach boat getting her closer to the action.
The photos on Flicker are reduced for the web. If you see one you would like at full resolution, feel free to send me a PM
It looks like it was another great event, me jealous!! Congrats to everyone!
And what about this girl power?! Riley, you rock, it's great to see someone young sail in these conditions. Matt & Gina you did a great job. And Riley kicks butt apparently, since she ended before at least 6 big boys ;-) Well done
