c'mon

someone build this thing

it deserves better than drawings

someone in the states must have an old 5.8 lying around

http://www.multimarine.com/designdetail.php?id=5

chop it down a little all round and an old nacra 5.2 or 5.5 would do, presumably the 5.7 without the cut down

So you got the Weta. Impressions after the 5.2? Still on the small lake?

weta good, haven't sailed the poor 5.2 much since getting my new toy last fall

more of a beginner/relaxed sail than soloing the 5.2, gets a nice hum in the rigging at 10knots, starts getting very wet after that up to around 16knots on a broad reach

feels like a skiff downwind in the big air it truly planes while you hang off the back corner with only the rudder in the water at times, doesn't track very well at all like that which adds to the excitement

very maneuverable and responsive

14'long and 11?m2 main and jib much more manageable solo than than the 17' and 20m2 sail area of the 5.2

with those numbers ultimately slower around a race course of course but much, much easier to get in and out of the water, on/off the trailer etc

fully rigged mast weights about 7kg for weta and 29kg for nacra

flat furling gennaker a really, really nice and works and looks better on a tri than a cat. pull the prodder and you can have it on or off in about 2 minutes.

still on same lake, still surrounded by mostly extinct volcanoes still covered in snow

last video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u-kFg4cncnA

ultimately though if you can confidently sail a 16'+ beachcat it will be a more thrilling ride and there are lots of used cats about at a 10th the price

however if you have thoughts of something like a farrier/corsair, multi23, seacart30 trimaran in your future, or if just want the fastest, easiest 14' boat out there you can't go wrong
